A great hug of love and tenderness for our fellow human-beings that are in need have opened for the Holy Days of Easter time, the Association “ELPIDA – Association of Friends of Children with cancer” and the Foundation “Marianna V. Vardinoyannis Foundation”.
On the initiation of Mrs. Marianna V. Vardinoyannis, goods have been sent and this Easter for the Easter table and items of fist need to Municipalities, Bishoprics, Bodies and Foundations throughout Greece.
“These Holy Days, our thoughts and prayers are to the side of our fellow human-beings that are in need. It is a duty for all of us to offer and stand next to those who are in need of us. With smaller or larger actions of solidarity and offer to warn the hearts and give hope to our fellow human-beings” Mrs. Vardinoyannis declared.
The Bishoprics, Municipalities and Bodies have received with great emotion this offer of love and in specific:
Municipalities
The Municipalities of Salamina and Kifisia have received long-lasting food for the Easter table of vulnerable families of the two municipalities.
The Mayor of Kifisia, Mr. Georgios Thomakos has characteristically stated “We thank you once again Mrs. Marianna V. Vardinoyannis and the Association “ELPIDA” which support all these years on constant basis every Easter the poor families of our Municipality. These actions enlighten the world and give hope and optimism” as well as the words of the Municipal Councilor in charge for Tourism issues, Mrs. Nina Vlachou: “It is the twelfth year that, Mrs. Mariannan V. Vardinoyannis, the Marianna of our heart, the Marianna of hope that assist these 500 people that belong to the vulnerable groups of our municipality. Marianna decorates with a bouquet of kindness and love their Christmas and Easter table. Marianna is always to our side and whatever I say for her is too little”.
Bishoprics
The Holy Bishopric of Lampi, Syvrito and Sfakia that supports old age and lonely people who live to the mountain villages of the south party of Rethymno Municipality and the Holy Bishopric of Nikaia that supports more than 400 poor families have received long-lasting food, first need items and
other items for the Easter table.
The Father, Georgios Zorzos, representing the Very Reverend Bishop of Nikaia, Mr. Alexios has thanked Mrs. Vardinogiannis for her timeless support: “ The effectionate effort of Mrs. Vardinogiannis all these years is important. Wherever she is, she wipes the tears of people in pain, orphan people, those who are unemployed and have many children. A great and sincere thanks on behalf of our Bishop”.
Bodies
There have been sent at the same time packages with long-lasting food and items for the Easter table to the following bodies: SOS Children villages, Lyreio Childrens’ Foundation, Ecclesiastic Orphanage of Vouliagmeni, Society for the protection of minors of Piraeus and to the Social Structures of the Group for Piraeus and islands UNESCO.
The President of the Group for UNESCO of Piraeus and Islands, Mr. Ioannis Maronitis has spoken with words from his heart for Mrs. Vardinogiannis offer: “Thanks God that we have our good angel Mrs. Marianna V. Vardinogiannis who is always present with love and tenderness and she is morally supporting us as you see with huge quantities of food. ELPIDA and Mrs. Vardinoyannis stand always to our side in support of our great effort here”.
