The Multi-Stores Attica and the Association “ELPIDA – Association of friends of Children with cancer” announce the continuation of their cooperation during this year’s festive period targeting to the strengthening of the Association’s important work against the children’s cancer.
On Tuesday December 16th and within an emotional atmosphere took place the opening of the two renovated children’s playgrounds of the Oncologic Hospital of Children “Marianna V. Vardinoyannis-ELPIDA”, the renovation of which was achieved due to the amount of Euros 42,573,60 collected from the last year’s action.
This work is the tangible result of the support of the customers’ of Multi-stores “Attica” and their commitment to the Association “ELPIDA”. Representatives of the multi-stores “Attica” and members of the Association’s Board were present during this opening to underlying the continuation of this important effort and to emphasize the strength of the collective offer.
The message of solidarity is coming back as the Multi-stores “Attica” is going on with their action during this year’s Christmas time as well supporting once again the work of ELPIDA. As from December 12th until January 5th, the customers’ of “Attica” at Athens and Thessaloniki, will be able to offer 1 Euro with their purchases , substantially supporting in this waythe work of “ELPIDA” (the amount given to the Association after the deduction of VAT 24% is € 0,81).
This year’s action with central message “All together we offer HOPE in a real way” is reminding that, the strength of offer may change lives. Everyone, with a small but substantial step, is contributing by offering hope and support to the children and the families that, they actually need it.
The Association’s Vice-President, Mrs. Marianna Lemos, has warmly thanked the administration of the multi-stores “Attica” for their substantial support, the love and sensitivity for the children who are giving their battle with the cancer and the thousands of the customers of multi-stores who have supported this common effort.
Mr. Dimosthenis Boumis, Ma naging Director of “Attica” multi-stores has added: “it’s a great pleasure for us to continue the cooperation with the Association “ELPIDA” via this specific action. The opening of the renovated playgrounds is the proof of what the collective action can achieve. We invite all our customers to support and this year the action becoming in this way part of a huge chain of hope”.
