The Ambassador of Good Will of UNESCO, Marianna V. Vardinoyannis has opened her arms for the women who came in our country from the war zone of Ukraine and for the homeless women who are hosted at Group’s Social Inclusion Structures for UNESCO of Piraeus and islands.
On the occasion of the World Day for the Woman, Mrs. Vardinoyannis wanted to stand at their side giving gifts for each one of them based on their needs and wishes offering in this way hope and strength.
In a modest and moving event that took place on Wednesday March 9th 2022 at the “Culture and Social Solidarity Space Marianna V. Vardinoyannis”, the President of structures, Mr. Ioannis Maronitis, has handed over to all women their gifts.”The thought and the hearts of all of us at this World Day of Woman, is on the side of the women from Ukraine who are living tragic hours losing their own people, families and houses. With this symbolic act we want to stand at the side of the women from Ukraine who came in our country and for those who are homeless and are hosted at Group’s Social Inclusion Structures for UNESCO of Piraeus and islands sending in this way a message that any woman around the world has a right to hope for a better life”, Mrs. Vardinoyannis said.
“I would like to thank once again, the Ambassador of Good Will of UNESCO, Marinna V. Vardinoyannis, giving with the gifts, love and continuous support hope and optimism, being always at our side and we thank you her from the depth of our heart for all she has done for us”, said the President of structures, Mr. Ioannis Maronitis.

“Gratitude and a huge thank”. “These gestures give us hope”. “With the computer that, I received today, I will be able to continue my studies and maybe I could find a job”, those were some of the phrases of the women when they receive their gifts.
