On Monday September 29th the Herodus Atticus Odeum has been filled up with music, emotion and love during the great concert of the “Artist for ELPIDA” and famous singer, Antonis Remos together with the international British-Italian Artist, Jack Savoretti. A special night dedicated to “Association ELPIDA- Association of Friends of Children with cancer” because part of the proceeds of the concert will be given for the Association’s purposes.
The President of the Association “ELPIDA” Mrs. Christianna V. Vardinoyannis accompanied from the Board of Directors members, friends and supporters of “ELPIDA” was present at the concert.
Antonis Remos, being extremely touched made a special reference at the opening of concert, to the founder of “ELPIDA”, Marianna V. Vardinoyannis and to the work of her life for the children with cancer: “This evening is dedicated to our angel, Marianna V. Vardinoyannis. She shall be always into our hearts and soul as all these children who had endured the pain because they had at their side this angel: Marianna V. Vardinoyannis” and after that, the beloved artist performed the song “My Angel” which he dedicated to the unforgettable Marianna V. Vardinoyannis.
This night was also a flashback to the career of Antonis Remos while his songs moved the audience at an emotional journey from his first steps until today. Accompanied by an orchestra of 19 top musicians – Quintet String, Trio Bass and Duo Vocal- has offered to the audience a multidimensional sound effect that gripped the people.
The first part of the concert contained his most modern and pop songs and it reached to the pick with the appearance of Jack Savoretti on the stage where the two artists performed one of their beloved songs “il Mondo”.
The British-Italian songs writer has, thereafter, performed his own program with two musicians before singing once again with Antonis Remos, a second duo-surprise “E penso a te”.
The pick came with the grand finale: Remos and Savoretti with their orchestras offered to the audience another duo “Io che non vivo”. An extraordinary experience that combined the Greek and international music with harmony and passion.
One of the most touched moments of the concert which shall remain forever at the hearts of all people was when, Antonis Remos, with love and tenderness referred to the Great Lady of the Greek music, Marinella and he dedicated to her the song “Sometimes” the first song with which she opened last year at that period of time her last concert. He was so touched that, he could not continue to sing and the audience started to sing and finished the song.
This night at Herodus Atticus Odeum has proved beyond any doubt that, music unites and fills with love and gratitude the soul and offers hope.
The production was of Galaxis Live Productions.
