Leading Pediatricians Hematologists-Oncologists from all around the world will stand shoulder to shoulder sending a strong message against the Children’s cancer at the International Scientific Conference “ Building Bridges at Pediatric Hematology-Oncology” to take place on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th of April 2024 in Athens on the initiative of the departments of the Oncologic Unit of Children “Marianna V. Vardinoyannis-ELPIDA” and the Hellenic Society of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology” with the support of the Association “ELPIDA”-Association of Friends of Children with cancer” under the auspice of the Ministry of Health.
The international Conference is dedicated to the memory of the beloved founder of the Association “ELPIDA”-Association of Friends of Children with cancer”, Marianna V. Vardinoyannis, who was the pioneer at the battle against the children’s’ cancer with the vision of a worldwide cooperation among the States, hospitals and entities aiming to the improvement of the therapy and healing of the children with cancer.
Into the frame of the program of fraternizations of the Association “ELPIDA” and following the orama of Marianna V. Vardinoyannis for a world without boundaries for the children’s health worldwide recognized scientists from the initiative pediatric oncologic hospitals: Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (USA), Princess Maxima Center for Pediatric Oncology (The Netherland), HOPP Children’s Cancer Center Heidelberg (Germany) and The Hospial of Sick Kid’s Toronto (Canada) with the cooperation of the scientific personnel of the departments of the Oncologic Unit of Children “Marianna V. Vardinoyannis-ELPIDA” with which there is a close cooperation, will present all the last scientific data for the handling of the Children’s cancer.
At the same time, the scientific personnel of the Oncologic Unit of Children “Marianna V. Vardinoyannis-ELPIDA” and representatives of the Board of Directors of the Associations “ELPIDA” and “ORAMA ELPIDAS” will present the scientific data for the children’s cancer in our country and the contribution of “ELPIDA” to the effective handling of the disease in our country.
