A unique Christmas evening dedicated to the children was organised by ‘ELPIDA Youth’, the youth branch of the Association of Friends of Children with Cancer “ELPIDA”, at the Make Up Disco night club, in the ACRO Hall venue, on Thursday, 5 December 2019.
The Vice-President of the ELPIDA Association, and head of ELPIDA Youth, Mrs Marianna Laimou, together with the other members of the Committee, gave a smiling welcome the guests who wanted to support the ELPIDA Youth Summer Camp, a model therapeutic summer camp for children with cancer, which ELPIDA Youth organises every year.
In a uniquely decorated space, utterly festive and bright, all the guests enjoyed unique Christmas moments in an atmosphere of love and support for the children.
The major sponsors of the event were the companies: Spanos SA, TAG Heuer and the ATTICA department stores, which the Association would like to sincerely thank.
Also contributing to the event’s success were the music selections of DJ Velix, who donated his services and kept the party at fever pitch. The decoration of the venue was undertaken by the MRCO company, owned by Mr Markos Mahairopoulos, while the flowers were the work of Pavlos, from Pavlos The Flower Shop. The food was prepared by the MENOO by PLATIS catering company and the furniture was provided by Stylebox.
A big thank you to all the companies that offered wonderful gifts for the raffle, thus supporting the event, and specifically: Tag Heuer, Blue Palace Resort & Spa, Venetia Vildiridis, MYPORTOHELI Villas, St. George Lycabettus, Marina Raphael, Aegean Airlines, Poseidonion Grand Hotel, MCM, Aurora Furealis, Stathis Alexopoulos, Detroit, NAK Shoes, LALAOUNIS, Avax, Nuxe, Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel, Park House, Museum of Illusions Athens, Different & Different.
It should be mentioned that the ‘ELPIDA Youth’ Committee was founded in 2015 with the goal of raising awareness and taking action for the psychological care of children suffering from neoplastic diseases. At the initiative of the Committee, the ELPIDA Guest House is being radically refurbished, and at the same time, for the past three years, the energetic members of the Committee have been successfully organising the ELPIDA Youth Summer Camp, a 10-day therapeutic programme for cured children aged 9-16 years old, with the goal of improving the children’s self-esteem and social skills.
