Mrs. Anna Vissi was awarded with the title of “Artist for ELPIDA” from the President of the Association “ELPIDA – Association of Friends of Children with cancer” Mrs. Christianna V. Vardinoyannis on Wednesday, February 26th 2025.
Mrs. Anna Vissi visited the Oncologic Unit of Children “Marianna V. Vardinoyannis-ELPIDA” and opened her arms for the title patients of the Unit and announced that, she will give a great concert for ELPIDA on Tuesday, September 13thg at the Panathenaic Stadium.
The President of the Association “ELPIDA – Association of Friends of Children with cancer” Mrs. Christiana Vardinoyannis, the Governor of the Children’s Hospital “ P&A Kyriakou and “H Agia Sofia”, Mr. Manolis Papasavvas and members of the B.D. Association welcomed Mrs. Anna Vissi.
“My dear Anna, we are really highly attached from your presence here and the great hug of love that you open for ELPIDA children. Your initiative to devote to the children of “ELPIDA” the great concert which you prepare for the forthcoming September at the Panathenaic Stadium, makes us very happy!. In deeply appreciation your wish to support our work, we have the honor today to award to you the title “Artist for ELPIDA”. A precious messenger who will spread via the music and song the message of offer to the children with cancer. We thank you for everything and we welcome you at the family of ELPIDA” as characteristically said Mrs. Vardinoyannis.
“There are no words to describe and say for what you have succeeded here: to save thousands of children’s lives. But I would like to make a special reference for the woman that, has visualized, established, created and fight for all of them: Marianna V. Vardinoyannis. A woman that I have always admired and inspire me. She is a great woman, unforgettable and her vision has helped thousands of children and it will continue as she has left worthy successors. We thank all of you for continuing this work and especially those who work at the Unit. This day is very important for me because I am coming in contact with a great Association and I would dare to say the most important of this country something that it has been proved in action. I had given last year a great concert at the Panathenaic Stadium and I wish that, whatever I have lived at that day, to be lucky to live this night-a milestone for my career. We make an appointment once again at the Panathenaic Stadium and this time jointly with ELPIDA and the hope! Thank you for your trust to me because I want with all my heart to be a member of ELPIDA Family! Mrs Vissi has emotionally declared.
Right after that, the beloved artist placed her star with her name at “The Wall of Stars of ELPIDA” and she visited the little patients of the Unit at their rooms, offering them great joy, strength and courage and assured them that, she will stand with all her strength next to them.
